Welcome to St Michael’s Braintree!

St Michael’s Church is a lively evangelical church situated in the centre of Braintree, Essex.

At present, we are meeting each Sunday, at 10am, in St Michael’s Church for our morning service.  The first Sunday of the month is Church Family Worship, an all-age service.  On other Sundays, we have an adult service in church and groups for children & young people in Church House (our church hall) – Next Plus (14-18s) meet at 9am for a breakfast and Junior Church (3-14s) is at 10am.

There is no need to pre-book seats – just come to church or Church House and we will be delighted to welcome you.  The church is laid out in “zones” with some unrestricted seating and some socially distanced seating.  We keep a record of who attends, for NHS Test & Trace, and encourage the wearing of face coverings.  We enjoy sung worship together in church and normally end our services with a song outside on the grass (weather depending).

The service will also be available online from 10am on Sunday – this is the link to our “St Michael’s Worship on the Web” YouTube channel -  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUSpCS4VeWkujfG3HyKVVVA.  It is the same link for all of our YouTube services.  All of our YouTube services are launched on Sunday at 10am, and are then available any time after that.

You can also access our service through “St Michael’s by Phone” – just dial 01376 333565 (phone calls charged at the local rate).  The latest service is available throughout the week.

Details of other activities are on our weekly Notice Sheet and monthly LINK magazine, available via tabs at the top of this website.

We send a weekly email, with updates of events, groups and other things happening at St Michael’s.  If you would like to receive this, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will make sure you receive this.

Wishing you every blessing,

Rev Nigel Adams
