Welcome

 Welcome to St Michael’s Braintree!

St Michael’s Church is a lively evangelical church situated in the centre of Braintree, Essex.

We would normally meet together for worship each Sunday at 8am, 10am and 6.30pm.  During the coronavirus pandemic, we have been providing our services online – both for children & families and for adults.  Please see the Worship tab at the top right of our website to access our Sunday services.  All services are launched on a Sunday, and are then available any time after that.  The adult service is also available through St Michael’s by Phone.  These are continuing for the time being.

From Sunday 20th September, we will also be opening the church building from 10am for morning worship.  The first Sunday of each month will be a Family Service, with priority given to families with children or young people.  The other weeks will be adult services.

If you wish to attend one of the church services, you will need to book in, by midnight on Thursday.  The booking form can be accessed from here:  St. Michael's Braintree - Church Service Booking Form.  You can also book by leaving an answerphone message on the church office phone (01376 321248).  We will contact you by 5pm on Friday, if you have a seat – please only attend if you have a pre-booked seat.

Details of other activities, including opening hours for private prayer, are on our weekly notice sheet and monthly LINK magazine, available via tabs at the top of this website.

We send a weekly email, with updates of events, groups and other things happening at St Michael’s.  If you would like to receive this, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will make sure you receive this.

Wishing you every blessing,

Rev Nigel Adams
